have a laptop which I have some info on. I wanted to sell it so I lent it to a friend who use to come over to use my desktop to check e-mails. He offered to pay latter or give it back. I've helped the friend out before so I thought nothing of it. When you turn the laptop on you have to enter a password to continue using it. I gave friend this also. He use to call more than usual to learn how to operate laptop. Then, his cell number got changed. I called his residence and everybody but him answers the phone to say he's not there. Someone finally said that he moved away:o( He won't answer his e-mails that I send and I'm thinking about a court of law. but until then, is it possible to control my laptop from another computer so as to change the access password to ensure a callback from him??? If I need to I'm sure I can obtain all my information that I don't have already from the company i bought it from. The laptop is a panasonic toughbook pc and runs on windows 98.
Unless you had the foresight to install a RAT (Remote Access Tool) beforehand, there is no simple way to control the computer.
