having Gateway desktop and Samsung dlp tv resolution problems?
I just bought a new gateway desktop pc today. I have it hooked up to my samsung dlp through hdmi.
I am unable to find a resolution setting that is both the proper dimensions of my tv, and that doesn't vibrate. I can find a clear setting (1280x720) or a properly sized setting (1600x900)
well the tv actually has a "pc" port on the back of it. Just like a computer monitor
Depends on the resoultion capabilities of the TV. 1080i/p is 1920x1080 You also need to set the TV's refresh rate properly. The TV manual should tell you. Mine is 60Hz
If you have a "wiggling" issue, the Video card isn't in sync with the TV.
I'm suprised a DLP will allow that. My Toshiba 48" was pretty specific NO PC CONNECTIONS allowed even though it had a DVI connector.
ADD: My DLP has a DVI connector (PC Monitor connector) but it specifically states NO PC Very Clearly.
On the other hand, my LCD is fine with it.
