I have very pale skin (I am Westerner), I am 5'8" tall, average figure, chestnut brown hair
I look good in blues and in whites or a combination..what sort of sandals are nice to go with those colors?
What kinds of saris.. from what parts of India? They are all so beautiful they take my breath away!!!! I am accustomed to wearing saris, by the way, since I stayed some 16 months in Bangalore area, but I always chose the wrong things, with few exceptions...so could you suggest what is right & fashionable?

Also, when I was going to the library here in New York every day to study Hinduism, I often met a lady from Calcutta who, btw, was studying serpent worship! She had the most beautiful clothes! Tunics in embroidered wools with churidhars, spiffy sandals, beautiful jewelry, her gray hair cut short in a "Western" style. I was not jealous, but my eyes would fill with tears because she looked so beautiful

You should go for cotton saries usually in summer.Generally Bengali cotton is a good stuff,it has a wide range of variety in colours and designs.
Further you can go for cotton suits also.
I dont know about Banglore but in Delhi you would get all these in chip prize.
