I just put a new hard drive and new ram in my computer. I put XP on and now i can't get any WIFI. Why?

It will let me create networks but i can't connect to any. Before i got the new hard drive all i had to do was click the icon in the right hand corner or goto control panel and hit hit connections either one of those options would give me a list of WIFI around me. Now i'm at a loss. Help
