Solutions on IBM Password Reset
We, IBM users, often meet problem with power on password, need IBM password reset or recovery for the OS like Windows 7, Windows XP, Windows Server, etc. What's the most efficient way to reset IBM password for our IBM laptop or desktop computer owners? Whatever the PC is IBM ThinkPad, IBM ThinkCentre IBM NetVista, IBM IdeaCentre or not, we can choose anyone to solve password problem:
1. DIY your own IBM password recovery disk
It is the most efficient and easiest way to help you reset IBM password without reinstalling the system. Take one of the most popular password reset tool - Ainorsoft Windows Password Recovery software as example, 3 quick steps to help us get out of problem:
a. Download Ainorsoft Windows Password Recovery software and burn an .iso image file to a blank CD/DVD/USB Flash Drive from an available PC;
b. Set your target computer to boot from the burned CD/DVD/USB Flash Drive;
c. Remove forgotten IBM password with the burned CD/DVD/USB Flash Drive.
2. Try default Administrator account
We can use default administrator account for IBM password recovery. In IBM Windows XP, 2000, Vista, there is a built-in Administrator user account that is auto generated when we install and without password protected. If we didn't change this Administrator's password, then boot system from Safe mode and login in with the accounts to reset IBM windows password.
3. Access IBM password from other user accounts with administrator rights
If we have another user account which owns administrative privileges, follow the steps below to reset IBM password (take IBM Windows 7 as example):
a. Start computer by pressing F8 key to enter Advanced Boot Options before Windows 7 loading screen appears.
b. Choose Safe Mode at the Advanced Boot Options screen and Enter to login with the accessible admin account.
c. Click Start and input lusrmgr.msc into the Search box.
d. Double-click Local Users and Groups, and then click Users in the Local Users and Groups screen
e. Right-click the account that we will reset its password, and then click Set Password.
f. Input and confirm the new password.
4. Use Ophcrack and Offline NT Password & Registry Editor
They are two common free password recovery tools. We just can have a try with them. Ophcrack can reset passwords no longer than 14 characters using only alphanumeric characters.
With the above four methods on IBM password reset, we, IBM computer users, will be ease once IBM reset password happens to us and needs IBM password removal. Even the IBM rescue and recovery password problem, we can refer to the first solution to help us whatever the OS is Win XP, 7 or others.

How do I find the correct computer hardware drivers??
I have recently have had to wipe my hard drive clean and reinstall windows XP. Now the problem I have is that I need to install drivers to make the ethernet controller work so that I can access the internet. No reinstallation Cd, and the desktop model is a IBM Netvista. What kind of Netvista I don't know. Not even sure where to really look. Can anyone offer some assistance?
