Cheap Laptop Computers: The Untold Story
Getting in to the groove of buying the cheapest laptop in the market is quite fun and simple. Many succumb to this great deal due to numerous reasons: they have a tight budget to follow, they would just give it as a gift to their children who most often than not break things a lot or owns a company and would like to give each employee a laptop to increase efficiency. Such reasons tend to bring a long line of consumers in a store that posts cheap laptops for sale signs on their windows.
Cheap laptop computers do give the equal benefit of high quality laptops in providing services to its owner. It is the owner's discretion to whether or not such computers suffice the void there is in their needs regarding such technological advances. But how can one be sure on the good quality that a cheap laptop presents and not only be fooled or lured by the big cheap laptops for sale sign?
Here are some of the most important things that consumers must first know before getting their money to a computer auction or gadget store:
One, you must take careful analysis on the core processor of the laptop. This is the computer or laptops independent processing unit. Cheap laptop computers, of majority, contain single core processor. With a single core processor, the laptop reads and executes actions in one single brain. Compared with high quality and expensive new versions of laptop computers, they mostly contain two processors which accordingly work as a separate unit. One reads while the other executes. This increases the performance feature of the computer or laptop. If a sale offers a laptop that contains two core processors, be mindful that there would be a catch at the end. Two core processors do cost addition bucks to be added and don't usually go with a cheap laptop of less than $400.
Two, another thing to be mindful of is the Random Access Memory (RAM) of the laptop computers. RAM is considered to be the memory of the laptop that acts on a short – term basis. With this short – term memory feature, you may access previously saved information without going to dig deeper into the hard drive of the computer itself. Usually cheap laptops come with a 2GB RAM. Although having increase in RAM number is good, the RAM of cheap laptops already provides adequate memory to be able to do tasks using it. Again, if it contains a higher number of RAM with the lowest price in the market, there is a catch that could lead you being fooled in the end.
Three, check the reliability and build quality. Do not expect to get cheap laptops or cheap gaming laptops with exquisite build model and is 100% reliable. This is quiet near to impossible. This is due to the fact that both consumers and companies play to be at fault in this scenario. As the demand of cheap laptops increases due to the consumers, the manufacturers try to, as much as possible, cut down on few things from the laptop so that it could be sold for a lower price. Thus, one should not be that picky yet one should not settle for a laptop has a questionable construction. Try to stick to brands that are pretty much credible and whose reputation have been built and attested for by the consumers themselves. Do not be deceived by the lowest priced laptop in the market. Staying on one's budget and keeping this tip in mind can get you to survive living with a laptop that although not built exquisitely in a perfect shell is good in performing the tasks for the longest duration possible.
Four, do check out the size and battery life of the laptop. Most cheap laptops that are put in the market play a devious trick on its consumers. These laptops are made to have low price among the rest but offers the short battery lifespan. There are also those that do offer a long battery life but has a low or inefficient processor which eventually eats up almost all of the battery life. This is such well planned trick to be fell for by amateur laptop consumers. One important note to actually keep in your list is this, most laptops that are priced near or at $600 contain a battery life of three hours. Exceptions to such are the following: Acer Aspire line, Dell M101Z and Toshiba T235D which can give up to five hours or more of battery life. Also, cheap portable laptops usually offer display resolution similar to the larger 15.6" models. With such feature, other tricky cheap laptops offer a compresses equal number of pixels onto a smaller display resolution which gives a smaller view of the text. This is not the best cheap laptop that one would purchase, especially when he or she has poor eyesight.
Buying cheap laptops, whether the typical typing, researching and reading purpose laptops or those cheap gaming laptops, can never give you everything that you aspire compared with buying a higher priced and quality laptop. Still, one a good quality from these cheap laptops is better than none at all. With these tips and strategies on hand, one can buy the cheapest laptop there is without being tricked in compromising the quality that each of these cheap laptop offers. So be wise, be confident, for it is only then that a low – cut priced but good – usage – quality laptop can land in your hands.
