A common drive speed is 5400 rpm but a 7200 rpm Ultra-ATA/100 drive will perform much better. The Ultra-ATA is what connects the drive to the PC.

the processor in the description on ebay says 1.8 ghz but im confused because i thought viiv was faster than that can anyone explain why or is it a typo?
will this system be better if i added a 128mb ddr asus ati radeon 9250 graphics card

Viiv has nothing to do with processor speed. It means the processor has met certain requirements to be used as a home digital media device. 1.8 Ghz is the correct specification for an E4300. Also note that the Core 2 Duo processors (like the E4300) give much more performance per Ghz than a Pentium 4. An E4300 offers performance that is beyond a 3 Ghz Pentium 4's capabilities.

And yes, this is quite a good price. Good system if you don't plan to use it for games.
